Sucker for cheap thrills

Er.... we went to T3 to watch the Big musical ball perform its music.

Er... wondering why everyone's so uptight about Zia?? Cos he was stepping in the drain that the balls & candies would be.

When the music stops, candies and pingpong balls would fall out from a pipe down into the drain. Then everyone would grab and dig. Hahhahaaa.... and if u find pingpong balls with stickers on it, u get to redeem prizes such as umbrellas and er candies. AND.... FYI, you can't take the pingpong balls home. Cheez.. I thought we could and poor Zia kept saying "ball.. ball". Anywayz.... I wasn't digging for anything.. er.. I was just checking the drain out. Hahhahaha.. actually Popo and my maid were busy looking for pingpong balls too. hahaha.. cheap thrills. Eh you know some people even took bags to coup all the balls ok. If I could, I'll take off my knitted sweater and scoop them all up. muahhahhhhahahhaaa. WHAT???? I confess that I'm cheapskate.

Cheapskate

Sunday morning and Daddy sings in the car while Zia shuts his ears with 1 index finger and a palm.

After church, we went to town to get some things done and decided to visit ION for the 1st time. Super long escalator. Nothing much in the mall thou.

It's been a while since we walked on the streets of Orchard Road. Then there were students asking for donations. Zia donated and he took the sticker and CRUSHED it.
Daddy said: Eh... mummy he's crushing the sticker
Mummy: Huh... faster.... give it to me baby.. I must save the sticker. Quick!!
(Mummy unwraps the sticker and pasted it onto her handbag)
Mummy: Wa.. this sticker very important you know.
As mummy walked down orchard road, she walked with confidence and assurance. "Hmmph.. I've got the sticker, I've got the sticker. Don't pester us to donate Muahhahhahhahaha"
Daddy: Cheapskate

LIAN MING DAI XING

It all started from Daddy who kept calling "Mummy mummy... mummy". Then I ignored him and he shouted "liulimiin liulimiin". Ever since Zia knows that mummy is liulimiin. So I taught him that Daddy is Wanweichuen. hahaha. so funny.

(Behind the scene: As I asked him the question, I didn't tell him that the answer was "mummy".  Neither did I prompt him by miming)

Somehow, Zia, Daddy & meimei Xylene (Zia's cousin) have similar eyes...they all have long eye lashes

n they smile alike too.

Anywayz, Zia loves to imitate meimei's smile.

Mean Mummy. Very mean.

(picture taken from Public Library Website)
Mummy was very mean today. Super mean. Well.... she took Zia to the Tampines Library to borrow some books. Then... little Zia ran to this train at the children's section but it was fully occupied. Immediately this little girl said "No, it's mine". Then Zia looked at her shockingly. Then Madam Liu Limiin said "It's ok Zia, Jiejie selfish, don't want to share". Er.... then the girl's gorgor stared at me. The girl retaliated and said "No, I was sitting here first". Then I realised what I said wasn't very nice especially to a little girl. I guess I'm too used to telling Zia that he mustn't be selfish because he also doesn't know how to share. It's still not an excuse. I admitted, I could have hurt the girl very badly. And what was worse was that........ their mum was right behind us. She looked stunned. Any mum would be upset. How can this mature adult say such things to a child. Zia ran away and I followed. I wished I could run far far away. Oh I felt so bad. I kept telling Zia what mummy did was wrong because I didn't want him to go around telling people off. I had no idea why I said that. So mean. Haiz..

I can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!

My hubbi has this bad habit of forgetting to flush especially big businesses. It never happens when he pees. I wonder why?? Is it because when he pees, he's facing the flush so he remembers to do it? Whereas if he poos.. he would just stand up n go???? Why like that?? That means ever since he was young it has been like that. It's either no one knows or his maid in the past probably kept quiet about it when they washed the toilet. How can????????????????? So smelly... so much germs. How to remind him to flush??If I put a note there, then it would be like a public toilet. If I tell him off then I would become naggy. Is there some flush detector or alarm?? Help me.. please.

Anywayz.. talking about toilet. I found this at forum shopping mall. Cool right. This means that a mum with a baby and a toddler can still go toilet at ease. They should have this all over Spore. Can u imagine... hubbi not flushing after he poos, is as good as forgetting the baby and leaving the baby in that seat smelling his poo. I can't emphasize any further how important it is to flush.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

I love to see Zia play with his friends in church on Sunday. While the adults try to listen to the sermon, the kids would play together right under our feet. Even little Ethan has joined the club. And guess what?? All boys club! There were 2 girls in another row and nope... they din cross over to play with the boys.

This shot was taken during Isaac's bday party. Zia enjoyed playing with all the gorgors. And Gorgor Gerald took good care of Zia. He kept calling out to Zia. So sweet.

Here's Isaac and his bread. He was so happy that it was his bday party. I asked him what prezzie he got from mummy but he refused to say.

Check out the nursery spot. All the helpers were busy with the kids and later on enjoyed talking in the "Near Lucky Plaza outside grass patch" style.

Aunty Sharon wanted to give Nadine to Isaac as a gift but er.. mummy Kelly said that she was afraid that Nadine's daddy (a lawyer) would persecute Isaac.

Pure joy. This is love from God and from Daddy & Mummy. I enjoyed this party cos we really get to talk and enjoy the sea breeze. Actually I really don't like big parties. You know I never had big parties till I met hubby. He threw the 1st big party for me when I was 20 something years old. Ever since, it has been a practice. Sometimes I think it's just for show but hubby says that it's a joy to celebrate with people. Heee. anywayz... still got so many birthdays to go so some can be big.. some can be small. As long as the love is genuine. Not only during birthdays but every single day.

Inez... I made it

Thanks to Inez's secret recipe from aust, I managed to make baked lamb chops for hubby.

It smells so good and baking paper works wonders. No oil needed.

(Lamb chops with mint jelly)
The 1st thing hubby said was " hmmmm.... it's like Inez's. Same as that night.". Yay.. success. Thanks for the recipe. hahhaa. But hoh... after making it, I realised that lamb is really super oily. I felt quite uncomfortable after eating it. I think next time I should buy the lamb shanks instead. Less fats..... but quite ex.

Graffiti

These graffiti on my pillow

n parquet are evidence of the Wannonly minimalist interior design's downfall. I've emphasized many times that pen goes on paper only and have hid most drawing utensils. However, little pumpkin managed to complete his masterpiece some how. Woohooooooo......... I've decided to create a naughty corner for him. Hope it works.

This set of sofa is my main concern. It's till untouched...... crossed fingers. Hmmmm... maybe naughty corner should be the sofa then it will never be drawn upon. Cool idea?? But then is it too comfortable for him? Will he play with the cushions instead during time out?

Huh.... I'm the gorgor

Zia had the chance to be full time gorgor for half a day. We helped to babysit his cousin while her parents were away for work on Sat. Well, there were a few moments when they enjoyed each other's company. Like looking out the window... waiting for their love ones to come home. Nah.... they were looking at raindrops.

There were few moments when they could play on their own while I sat on the sofa. However, other than the few moments, Zia gorgor would fight with meimei Xylene for everything. For almost every toy that she took, Zia would snatch them away. He would push her and pat her really hard. Zia loves to exert his strength when he pats people/dogs. I guess that's his way of saying "I LOVE YOU!!". I was trying so hard to teach him how to share and give. Sometimes he gets it but sometimes he just doesn't. I've tried my best to be fair to both and actually 2 kids together can be quite a challenge. Though meimei Xylene is pretty easy to look after, gorgor Zia needs a lot of affirmation and discipline. It's tuff........ hope things will work out some how when he really becomes a gorgor in future.

Salute to mummies in Aust

I am amazed at how mummies in aust handle housework, parenting and work all at the same time without any help from helpers or parents. It's amazing especially when they have such a big house to look after as well. Anywayz, I love the baby products in aust. I went crazy when I went to the supermarket. All the baby snacks, juices and food can't be found in Spore. One of the product that I love is NapiSan. Pastor Joyce recommended this to me. She's amazing!! She has 3 kids and 1 big house to look after. She has to do the laundry and cleaning. She uses the NapiSan baby care to soak soiled clothes. She gave some to me and I love it. Removes all sorts of stains especially puke, phelgm, etc.

I tried to look for it in NTUC but they only sell Varnish Napisan. I think it's for adults. Then I went to cold storage and found Napisan Baby care but it has a different packaging. Hope it works the same.

A little info about Napisan:
NapiSan BabyCare removes tough stains and provides a hygienic clean to babies' garments. Its powerful germ-killing action ensures not only clean, but sanitised garments every time. NapiSan's antibacterial formula keeps working for a full 24 hours, killing bacteria that can cause nappy rash. And because it contains no enzymes it is suitable for all washable, colourfast fabrics that come close to your baby's delicate skin. Always read the label. Use only as directed.

I've changed

Ever since the holiday, I feel that I've learnt to let go of many things. No longer as uptight and definitely more confident in parenting. I feel happier and I enjoy being a mummy. Yes, I used to not enjoy and feel so stressed up about parenting.

Anywayz.. here's an example. We went to moi favourite restaurant and had fried fish head beehoon. Zia had his lunch already and I didn't bring any toys or snacks for him. So he just sat there and we distracted him with a little bit of rice and fried fish. When he didn't want to eat anymore... he just smelt his sleeve.

Then he kinda closed his eyes a little. Normally, I would want to take him out and carry him to sleep but hey.... my fingers were oily and we were all busy eating. And how could we stop eating halfway.......it was just too delicious

Then slowly and surely he entered into light sleep.

And finally he konked out. Oh I so wanted to wipe the table 1st, shift his head, etc..... but my fingers were still oily. Oh.. don't care lah!!! hahhaaa. so now I know Zia can sleep like that. I feel happy that I could enjoy my fish head n that I've learnt to let go of certain things. :)

A tribute to Daddy

Daddy, mummy n I want to say thanks to u for this wonderful trip. You kept your promise to help mummy and you did well.

You love mummy so much that you bought her a shop in Perth City and named it after her.

You would always carry me and put me in the car seat faithfully.

You are so good at packing. So good that mummy made you pack all the 5 luggage. From Spore to Perth, Perth to farm stay, farm stay to Perth, Perth to Spore. Hahhahaaaa.. and also Spore to home cupboard.

You would play with me and take care of me while mummy would sit down comfortably and enjoy her meals.

You would paddle us around the lake in silence while we both enjoyed boogie dancing in the canoe.

You are my insipiration.....

my HK superstar and my hiaohiao Daddy.

You love me because HE first loved us. He is awesome for He's the creator of all. All things big and small; birds, the sea, the land, man, relationships, love, etc.

Daddy I love you. **Echo...... Daddy I love you*** (x3).
If you notice carefully, it's all the Daddies who were taking care of the babies in the plane. Really!!!! Almost throughout the whole trip. The aussie daddy nearest to us had to change the baby's diaper by himself in the toilet while the lady slept. The other aussie daddy at the end, had to carry the baby to sleep. The problem was all 3 of the kids refused to sleep!!!!!! And all the Daddies were super shagged. hahaha.
